The Department of Training and Rehabilitation

The Department of Training and Rehabilitation is one of the core units at IAD , and authorized in:

1. Implementing the plans of the Institute in the various fields of training and rehabilitation.
2. Implementing the special training programs which are held in coordination with the governmental bodies.
3. Accepting and enrolling the nominees for the various training and rehabilitation programs.
4. Implementing the training and rehabilitating programs held according to agreements or memorandums of understanding between the Institute and similar international bodies.
5. Providing all necessary requirements for the implementation of the Institute’s training and rehabilitation programs.
6. Making a follow-up to the performance of trainers and sending recommendations to raise the performance.
7. Providing a data-base that includes the necessary information about the trainers adopted by the Institute whether from the state or outside it.

They are two fold, Regular programs & Special programs.

Regular Programs

Programs are aimed at civil servants and employees from different specializations, including administration, finance and information technology and vary from 2-10 training days.
These programs aim to develop one competency based skill. Civil servants can participate in more than one training program per year , but they should not exceed (20) training hours a year.
To be accepted for a training program, employees should be currently performing one of the tasks targeted by a training program. There are also special requirements for certain programs.

Special Programs


These programs are tailor made according to specific requests from public institutions, in coordination with IAD training department. All the trainees taking part in these programs should be from the same institution.

Administration
Programs include all activities related to the managerial process( planning, organizing, directing and controlling ). Complementary programs cover areas of human resources management , job description and classification.
Besides, administration programs include the behavioral dimensions of the managerial process and inter-personal communication skills.
Current managerial concepts and skills necessary for today’s organizations such as : change management, negotiation management and crises management are included in these programs.

Finance
Programs include courses related to management and protection of public finance ranging from governmental accounting to auditing and financial control. Finance programs concentrate on modern tools for financial analysis, budgeting and financial planning.
More emphasis is given to programs related to financial efficiency such as measurement and analysis of public services and performance budgeting.

Information Technology
It includes different levels of training related to IT skills and information systems. A number of programs are provided for beginners and a lot more for specialists . IAD offers also I Learning programs in partnership with Microsoft Academy for Information Technology.
